Sima Shahmoradi

Sima Shahmoradi, an Iranian painter, was born in 1972 in Isfahan. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Isfahan University of Art and then obtained her Master’s degree in the same field from Tehran University of Art.

She began her artistic activity in 1994 by participating in a group exhibition at the New Art Gallery in Isfahan. Her first solo exhibition was also held in 2000 at the Barg Gallery in Tehran.

Sima Shahmoradi is known for her distinctive visual style, in which portraits, objects, and landscapes are depicted using a technique similar to the reflection of a broken mirror on a mirrored surface.

Shahmoradi has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions within Iran, including at Hetan Gallery, Nian Gallery, and Homa Gallery. In 2010, she participated in the Laura Orvieto Illustration Competition in Italy with the theme of the Trojan Myth and won an award. Additionally, a year later, she received the Golden Pen Award at the Belgrade Biennial for illustrating the book “The Legend of the Golden Trunk.”
