Mehroonosh Savouri: The Narrator Painter of Existence
Mehroonosh Savouri, born in 1980 in Tehran, is a painter and artist who delicately and skillfully reveals the hidden layers of existence on the canvas. Having completed academic studies in Art Research and Painting, she has refined her knowledge and artistic sensibility, and by creating innovative and thought-provoking works, she has gained a special position among contemporary Iranian artists.
Mehroonosh Savouri’s works are full of profound concepts and cryptic symbols that challenge the viewer’s mind. Using colors, lines, and innovative forms, she creates a fantastical yet tangible world where humans and existence are in constant confrontation and interaction.
The prominent presence of “women” in many of Savouri’s works testifies to her delicate and deep perspective on the position and identity of women in today’s world. Through depicting women in various situations and states, she re-examines their roles and challenges in society, raising fundamental questions about identity, meaning, and the purpose of human life.
