Khalil Somayi Jablo
Khalil Somayi Jablo was born in 1966 in the beautiful city of Ardabil.
Somayi Jablo has traveled a steady path of artistic development. He studied painting at university and enriched his knowledge in this field up to the master’s level. His passion for painting was not limited to creating artworks; he also passed this love on to future generations by sharing his valuable experiences as a teacher at the Azad Art School of Khaneh Doost and the Mazandaran Art College.
Somayi Jablo’s works are full of subtle contradictions and contrasts of life. Sometimes bright and warm colors dominate the canvas, conveying feelings of hope and vitality to the viewer, and other times dark, sorrowful shadows are painted on the canvas, depicting human concerns and suffering.
But amidst all these contrasts, there is a single element: “Human.” The tired human, the suffering human, the loving human, the hopeful human—all come alive in Somayi Jablo’s works and engage in dialogue with the audience.
Throughout his 27 years of artistic activity, Somayi Jablo has exhibited his works many times in painting and sculpture exhibitions across Iran and around the world, earning numerous honors. Among these honors are recognition at the 4th Islamic World Painting Biennial, receiving an honorary award at the 7th National Contemporary Painting Biennial, and an honorary award at the Aluars International Ice Sculpture Festival.
